Classic Caprese Salad

A classic! The Caprese Salad is one of the easiest and quickest salads to make. Perfect for a light lunch or served as a side salad.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 - 3 heirloom or vine-ripe Tomatoes sliced and/or chopped
  • 4 - 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Cheese sliced or torn into pieces
  • Handful of fresh Basil leaves picked and kept whole or chopped
  • Olive Oil for drizzling
  • Sea Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice and/or chop the Tomatoes and Mozzarella Cheese. Pick the leaves, keeping some whole and some roughly chopped.

To assemble:

  • On a serving platter, plate or board, arrange the Tomatoes with slices or pieces of Mozzarella, lightly drizzle with Olive Oil and season to taste with Salt and Pepper.
