Visit Your Local Library
We love spending time at our local library finding books, taking part of scheduled activities, and checking out passes to visit museums! There's so much to keep busy with and learn!
Plan a Cookout
Invite some guests and light up that grill! It doesn't have to be elaborate unless you want it to be. Grill up your favorite meats, vegetables, and serve up some Tillamook ice cream!
Need inspiration? Visit your local Publix during the Summer Grilling Co-Op to purchase Tillamook ice cream and more for the perfect summer party.
Make Root Beer Floats
To make, simply add 2 – 3 scoops of Old-Fashioned Vanilla Tillamook ice cream to a tall glass and top it up with your favorite Root Beer! YUM!
Be an Artist – Paint Puffy Paint Ice Cream Cones
All you need is some construction paper, sprinkles and puffy paint. Cut out a triangle for the waffle cone, glue it on a large sheet of construction paper, use the puffy paint to create colorful "ice cream", and top it off with sprinkles before the paint dries.

Find some trails or visit national parks, and go for hike! Don't forget to take a picnic and plenty of water to stay hydrated.

This is one I love! I have caught (and released) my fair share of fireflies (lighting bugs). To find out how, visit firefly.org.
Watch Fireworks
Summer to me is all wrapped up in celebrating the 4th of July! To find out where you can enjoy watching fireworks near you, just ask google, Siri or Alexa.
Make Homemade Lemonade
I like to take 2 cups of basic simple syrup, 2 cups of lemon juice, about 1 gallon of water and make a nice large pitcher of lemonade. Better yet, make several pitchers and take it to the street corner with your own lemonade stand!
Make Your Own Bubbles
Grab a pale or bucket, add in 6 cups of water, 1 cup of corn syrup, 2 cups of dish washing liquid soap (regular strength) then mix it all together. Make the wand by bending a wire coat hanger into shape. Get outside, dip the wand into the bubble mixture and help the wind make giant bubbles.
Have an Ice Cream Party
Grab all the ingredients you need, from Tillamook ice cream to bananas, maraschino cherries, whipped cream, drizzly syrups and more to build your own banana splits and sundaes!
Make Mud Pies
Need I say more? Just remember not to eat them!
Visit a Pick Your Own Farm
Check in with google to find a pick your own farm near you. From strawberries to blackberries, raspberries and more, there's nothing like enjoying freshly picked produce.
SPLASH! Pads
Visit local splash pads, water parks, or you can make your own splash pad in your backyard with a tarp, sprinklers, kiddie pools and other fun water activity toys.
Play a Daring Battle with Water Guns or Water Balloons
Load 'em and lock 'em, get ready to play! Gather those water guns and fill water balloons to have and enjoy a classic water fight.
