And what better way to celebrate these blue beauties than with a Florida Blueberry Smoothie. I must say that if you like Blueberries, then right now Florida is the place to be! April in Florida means fresh Blueberry season. In Florida, you can always find beautiful fresh produce in season every month of the year. And now, with our warmish spring happening, I’ve become rather fond of this thrilling, cool-me-down Blueberry Smoothie!
As always, Fresh from Florida produce is a great way to ensure that your family is getting great quality food. Blueberries are amazing little berries, they are high in antioxidants and are one of the few fruits that are native to North America. There have been so many studies done on the benefits of Blueberries it’s astounding, but one thing is evident through and through, they taste pretty amazing and are good for you!

Florida Blueberry Smoothie
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh Florida blueberries
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 cups vanilla frozen low-fat yogurt
- 8 ice cubes
Directions:
- Clean and rinse blueberries under cool running water.
- In blender, add in blueberries and half the milk. Secure the lid. Mix on high speed until smooth.
- Add in frozen yogurt and remaining milk and some ice cubes, continue to mix until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately. Garnish with mint (optional)
- If you have any leftovers, you can pour it into ice cube trays and freeze.
